Obituary Policy

The Miles City Star offers both free and paid obituaries. Free obituaries have no photo and follow a standard newspaper format. Most of the obituaries visible on this page are examples of that format. Paid obituaries include a photo and wording of your choice and are billed at the open rate of $7.45 per column inch.

  Arlen Franklin Matzen died peacefully after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis on one of his favorite days, April Fools.  Mr. Matzen was born Jan. 23, 1949, to Carl and Nellie Matzen in Miles City. He had a childhood filled with adventure and the proper amount of trouble, but was
