The Pioneers had one of their better offensive games of the season, and needed it against a good Salish-Kootenai squad.

The Pioneers shot 46 percent from the field and were a solid 23 of 32 from the free throw line.

Ryan McCarty led five Pioneers in double figures with 23 points and was a perfect eight of eight from the line. Jonathan Dogbo had a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. Quinn Smith had 14 points, Teslim Idris had 12 and Conner Smyle added 10.

The Pioneers pulled out a great victory in the final minutes, gaining their first Region IX win of the season.

With less than two minutes to play, McCarty drilled a three from the corner to give MCC a slight one point lead and then the free throws down the stretch allowed the Pioneers to maintain that lead.

Dogbo hit four free throws in the final minute, including two with seven seconds left to push their lead to 79-76.

For the game, the Pioneers shot 51 percent from the field, 7-14 from three-point range and 18-27 from the line.
