Volleyball: Colstrip standout signs with MCC

The Miles Community College volleyball team has landed a standout setter and student from Colstrip High School, head coach Chase Soennichsen has announced.

Emma Dudley, a 5’-7” senior at Colstrip, has signed a NJCAA National Letter of Intent to play for MCC, which will be competing this fall after a multi-year hiatus.

Dudley was All-State as a senior, and lettered in volleyball for four seasons.

She was All-Eastern A Conference performer in both 2015 and 2016. She also escelled in the classroom, registering a 4.0 GPA at Colstrip.

At Colstrip, Dudley was proven winner on both the volleyball and basketball courts. She played a key role in Colstrip’s 2015 playoff run, which netted a third-place finish in the state tournament.

She was a part of district championship teams in 2015 and 2016. She also won district and divisional championships as part of Colstrip’s basketball team this year.

Dudley said she chose MCC because of its nursing program, and the “friendly and welcome environment.”

Soennichsen has introduced seven new recruits this spring. Custer County District High School standout Tori Ogolin signed a letter of intent to play for MCC.
