Lyle J. Horr, 87, former Miles City resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, in Hemet, Calif.
Mr. Horr was born May 14, 1926, in Watertown, S.D.
He moved to Miles City when he was a small boy and joined the Army in 1941. He fought overseas.
Returning from the military, he came home to a position on the Miles City Police Department and eventually became the Chief of Police for a short time before he opened C&H Surplus.
In the late 1960s he relocated his family to Billings where he opened Faith Realty and Appraisers.
Mr. Horr is survived by two grown daughters, Kayrene and Vickie, their husbands, and one granddaughter.
His wife, Phina, preceded him in death in 2001.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Country Club Clubhouse, 601 N. Kirby in Hemet where he retired in 1991.
